  I first spoke with Ron on behalf of a non-profit I volunteer for. It was critical to stay on top of our worker's compensation premiums and I suggested we pay the entire annual premium "up front" as a way to prevent issues/lapses. Ron said he was 'all about service' and would 'take good care of us' blah blah blah.
  
  Fast forward ten months when I e-mailed regarding renewal only to learn that, because several months earlier our bill had been mailed to a defunct address, we had been canceled with nary a call or e-mail (remember the "take good care of us" part?). To be fair, we should have noticed that Ron did not-as he said he would do-set us up to pay the entire annual premium in one payment. But rather than take any responsibility, apologize, or even offer any "service" whatsoever, Ron shirked us off on what I call "Part II of the Disinterested Do-nothing Duo" (Ron himself being Part I).
  
  Worse than doing nothing is pretending to do something while actually doing nothing, which is Joanne Bronfeld's specialty. For over a month, we remained exposed without insurance while Joanne pretended to be getting quotes. When I finally reached her, Joanne's main concern was whether we would send any "referrals". Having discerned (quite rightfully based on their performance) the answer was "no," Joanne said "I'll e-mail you the quotes" and ceased communicating entirely.
  
  The upshot of our experience with the "Dynamic Do-nothing Duo" was that several thousand dollars worth of adult lessons and equipment for low income people-in-need instead went for unnecessary insurance costs. Thank you Ron and Joanne.
